The Chateau Restaurant and Norwood Country Club clubhouse are both located within this building located on Route 1 in Norwood next to the Hampton Inn. It was built in 1978, originally as a Red Coach Grill and its construction coincided with the completion of the Norwood Country Club golf course. The golf course clubhouse occupies most of the buildings lower level.

The convenient and highly visible Route 1 location and the buildings distinctive architectural style attracted The Chateau here in 1997, and it has flourished ever since.
